Tall Ships, Big Waves . . .

A ship load of visiting voyagers on a fog soaked day in Bodega Bay
With swells up to 10 feet, the surfers were out at sunset
Misty, gray, raucous ocean . . .
Brightened up to a steamy gold sunset as I ended my walk

I am where I want to be . . .

  2. What a generous comment 'Quiet Life', thank you! Fun to know that you're over there in Dillon. Your images of beach life are lovely. I've just skimmed a few posts so far, but it sounds as if you're here part time. I loved you description of enjoying your alone time . . . mirrored my thoughts to a tee. With my husband and son in my life I never feel lonely . . .

Thank you for stopping by. BTW, I see the tall ships are still moored in the harbor on this very blustery day. You may still get an opportunity to catch them.

  4. Thank you Angela! Bodega Bay and the entire Sonoma Coast and Point Reyes is some of the most beautiful coastline in the world. If you do plan to vacation here give me a holler and I'd be happy to direct you to experiences you'd want to have in this area. I've lived in the bay area my entire life and have hiked many a trail and beach.

  5. Your photos have really reinstilled this feeling in me that I want to be on the West Coast. It's a feeling I have always had, deep down. I'm going to be adding it to my dreams on my blog, so thank you. I can just sense the feeling of contentment you must have felt when you took these photos and saw all of this around you. You really do live in a beautiful place. Beautiful isn't an appropriate word to describe it, though. Something more!

    1. Thank you Terri! We really do love it here but it's not for everyone. Living on the Northern California coast has it's challenges. Fog, drizzle, wind, and living 40 minutes from town. But when it's beautiful it's out-of-this-worldly so . . . Hope you come visit soon ; )
